New York DJ legend Kenny Dope has been deep in the game since a teenager in the 1980s. As one half of Masters Of Work (and Nuyorican Soul), his body of work as a producer and remixer is as extensive as it is revered. Oh, and he created ‘The Bomb’ (1994) by The Bucketheads. He has brought a Brooklyn hip-hop sensibility to NY house music, a rougher edge to his MAW partner Louie Vega. A living legend, Kenny Dope is still hard at work, hosting a weekly show on Rinse FM, running record labels, putting out new music and playing all over the world. ‘Anything goes’ is his motto, which is fitting, because anything goes at Appelsap.
