Ol ‘Burger Beats is a Norwegian hip-hop producer, DJ and record collector from Vatne in Haram municipality. He is a member of the Oslo Collective Mutual Intentions.
Ol ‘Burger Beats was first part of the hip-hop scene in 2014, when he released the debut album High Rhodes LP. The album was well-known both in Norway and internationally, and hip-hop magazines like Okayplayer and Mass Appeal compared the young beatmaker with legends like Pete Rock and J Dilla. The vinyl edition of the album had 4 bonus tracks, and the album was, among other things, hosted by rappers like Illa J and Denmark Vessey. Illa J Collaboration “20 Years” was also released as music video. The following year, Ol ‘Burger Beats released the instrumental EP Unreleased Instrumentals through the German label / record store HHV.de. In 2017, Ol ‘Burger Beats became part of the Oslo-based label Mutual Intentions, and released the album Mind Games in late April. Mind Games is hosted by artists like Ivan Ave, Jeremiah Jae and Quelle Chris, and was released on vinyl and instrument cassettes.
